Purpose and Aim of the Qualification

This qualification is ideal for professionals aged 25 and over who have already completed an SIA-recognised L3 Certificate in Close Protection. to make an impact in international close protection; this qualification is suitable for individuals motivated to lead and operate in challenging environments. Whether transitioning from military service, looking to advance in the private security sector, or pursuing a role in high-level security operations, this course offers you the foundation and the next steps for success.

Course Highlights:

Advanced Training: Dive into two comprehensive units covering essential areas of close protection. From safe weapon handling and maintenance to preparing for and executing combat operations, this course ensures you have the expertise to perform precisely and confidently.

Hands-On Practical Assessments: Apply what you’ve learned through rigorous, real-world scenarios and practical assessments. Our approach ensures you gain the confidence and skills to handle diverse situations in open terrains and built-up environments.

Pathway to Advanced Qualifications: Upon completion, you will earn the Level 4 Certificate in Close Protection, positioning you for further advancement in security operations, including progression to the Level 5 Diploma in Risk Management of Security Operations.

The course is progressive and is a ‘training course’ like all other courses run by ATG. 

We aim to produce the best operators that the Security Industry wants to employ.

If we think you will not fit into the role of a Close Protection Operator, we will advise you of this.

First Aid Training

When applying for the Level 4 International Close Protection course, you will be required to produce evidence that you have attained a minimum of a Level 4 Security Trauma Emergency Medic (STEM) or equivalent.

You should present your valid certificate to ATG before you start your training.

If you do not have a L 4 STEM, we can arrange this for you.

This is in addition to the minimum 60 guided learning hours of knowledge and practical skills training.
