Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training

Available for ELC funding

Our course is of a high level and will introduce additional elements to prepare you for the civilian training Arena. This will include talks with experienced Trainers from our own training delivery teams.

Purpose and Aim of the Qualification

The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training is aimed at learners aged 19+ and has been designed to prepare trainee teachers to teach in a wide range of contexts.

The qualification will meet the needs of a range of teachers and trainee teachers who would like to gain a qualification that focuses on practical teaching. It will be appropriate for those with some experience of teaching and training.

This could include individuals who are not currently teaching and training but who can meet the practice requirements outlined in the mandatory and optional units. It is also appropriate for individuals currently working as an assessor who wish to achieve a teaching qualification.

How long will it take me to achieve this qualification?

This will depend on your experience level. In order to make the course as realistic as possible, the hours you work will be varied.

The qualification has a minimum of 140 guided learning hours and learners must be able to evidence 30 hours of teaching practice.

The course is progressive and is a ‘training course’ like all other courses run by ATG.

We aim to produce the best Trainers that the Industry wants to employ.

If we think you will not fit into the role of a Tutor/Assessor we will advise you of this.

The rest is up to you.
